2001年から活動しているワシントンD.C.のバンド。
Smart Went CrazyのChad Clark、Abram Goodrichが在籍。
Chad Clarkは界隈で著名なバンドの録音に関わったりしてますな。

Dischord Recordsから01年1stEP「The Cigarette Girl from the Future」、03年2ndEP「You Are Right to Be Afraid」、04年1stアルバム「The Unsustainable Lifestyle」を出してます。
Dischordな雰囲気やポップなインディーロック然もありつつ、味わい深い楽曲群ですな。
ガツンとくるというより地味な印象でしたが、聴くほど良くなるね。

長い空きがあり、Dischordからじゃないが15年2ndアルバム「Beauty Pill Describes Things as They Are」、20年3rdEP「Please Advise」、20年3rdアルバム「Sorry You're Here」が出ました。

基本は変わらずですが、バンドって感じから若干離れたような楽曲になってますな。
やはり、質の高いポップさですな。
「The Unsustainable Lifestyle」は名盤だあ。
